  1. What are some reasons David tried so hard to be friends with the boys who were the meanest to him?
  2. Why does Griffin "save" David just to turn on him? 
  3. Everyone, including David, tells Mrs. Diaz that everything is all right. If you were Mrs. Diaz, what would you have done differently? If you were David? If you were Eric?
